We believe and steadfastly hold to the following fundamental truths of the Holy Scriptures:
The Word of God: We believe that the entire Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is verbally inspired by God and is completely inerrant. It is the supreme and final authority for Christian faith, conduct, and church governance.
The True God: We believe in the one and only living and true God, the Creator of all things. He eternally exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - equal in essence, power, and glory.
Jesus Christ: We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man. He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was bodily raised on the third day, and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father. He is our sole Mediator and will return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit: We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates repentant sinners, indwells believers, and empowers them with spiritual gifts, comfort, and guidance into all truth, sealing them for the day of redemption.
Salvation: We believe that all humanity has sinned and is unable to attain salvation through personal good works or the law. Salvation is solely by grace through faith—received through repentance and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, by which our sins are forgiven and eternal life is granted.
The Church: We believe that the universal Church is the spiritual body of Christ, composed of all born-again believers, with Christ as its supreme Head. The local church is a visible community of believers gathered for worship, fellowship, edification, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
The Ordinances: In obedience to Christ's command, we observe two church ordinances:
Believer's Baptism: The immersion of a believer in water, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is a public declaration of the believer's faith, symbolizing death to sin, burial with Christ, and resurrection to walk in newness of life.
The Lord's Supper: The shared partaking of the bread and the cup by believers to commemorate the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ, remembering His sacrificial love until He comes again.
